By accessing or using Silt, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You may use Silt for lawful purposes only. You are responsible for all content you upload or link to. You must not upload or share illegal content, malware, content that violates third-party rights, or anything that is harmful, abusive, or fraudulent. Violations of this section may result in administrative action at Silt's sole discretion.
Artificially inflating view counts or any other platform metric through bots, scripts, automated tools, coordinated manual activity, or any other method is strictly prohibited. Soliciting, begging, or repeatedly requesting badges, roles, features, or other platform privileges from staff or other users is also prohibited. Accounts found engaging in such activity are subject to administrative action, including metric corrections, at Silt's sole discretion.
Each user is permitted one account only. The creation of alternate accounts to circumvent bans, suspensions, restrictions, or any other administrative action, or for any other purpose, is strictly prohibited. Where alternate accounts are identified, Silt administrators reserve the right to take any action deemed appropriate against any or all associated accounts, including but not limited to suspension, permanent termination, content removal, or restriction of access, at their sole and absolute discretion.
Harassment, abuse, threats, or deliberate disrespect directed at Silt administrators or staff, whether on the platform or in any associated community space including Discord, is strictly prohibited. Publicly or privately contesting, disputing, or objecting to administrative actions taken under these Terms, including but not limited to bans, suspensions, content removals, or metric adjustments, in a manner that is hostile, persistent, or disruptive, is also prohibited. Users on a free tier of service have no right to contest or appeal administrative decisions of any kind, and any attempt to do so may itself be treated as a conduct violation. Users on a paid tier who disagree with an administrative decision may raise the matter respectfully once through the appropriate channel. Repeated objections, escalation, or attempts to pressure staff into reversing a decision will be treated as a conduct violation in their own right regardless of account tier. Such conduct may result in immediate account action at administrative discretion, with no obligation to provide prior notice or justification.
Silt operates a profile hosting platform and is not a moderator, mediator, or arbitrator of disputes between users that occur on third-party platforms, including but not limited to Discord, direct messages, or any other external communication service. Private communications between users on Discord or elsewhere are governed solely by the terms and policies of those respective platforms. Silt assumes no responsibility for harassment, disputes, or any other conduct that occurs outside of the Silt platform itself. Users experiencing issues on third-party platforms should report them directly to those platforms.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Silt is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access to your account.
You retain ownership of content you upload. By uploading, you grant Silt a non-exclusive license to store and serve that content. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms without notice.
Silt profile pages may contain links to external websites. Silt does not endorse or take responsibility for the content of external sites. Visiting external links is at your own risk.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
Silt is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, data retention, or fitness for a particular purpose. Use at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Silt and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Silt. By using the service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are under 13, you are not permitted to create an account or use the service.
Silt respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent applicable law. If you believe content hosted on Silt infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice to us via email at [email protected]. Valid notices must identify the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing content, and include your contact information and a statement of good faith belief. Silt will remove or disable access to infringing content upon receipt of a valid notice. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.
Any attempt to gain unauthorized access to Silt's systems, databases, infrastructure, or user data, including but not limited to SQL injection, credential stuffing, brute force attacks, reverse engineering, exploitation of vulnerabilities, and any other form of unauthorized probing or interference, is strictly prohibited. All such activity is logged, including IP addresses, timestamps, and request metadata. Silt will pursue all available legal remedies, including referral to law enforcement and civil action under applicable European legislation, including Directive 2013/40/EU on attacks against information systems and relevant national implementations thereof.
All decisions made by Silt administrators, including but not limited to account suspensions, content removal, feature restrictions, and access revocations, are final and binding with respect to the free tier of service. Silt reserves the sole and absolute discretion to take any administrative action it deems appropriate, with or without prior notice or stated justification. Silt further reserves the right to review, adjust, correct, or reset platform metrics, including but not limited to view counts, engagement statistics, and other displayed data, at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to system testing, fraud remediation, promotional activities, platform maintenance, or general platform integrity. Users acknowledge that such metrics are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute a contractual commitment or guarantee of accuracy. Where applicable consumer protection legislation confers statutory rights that cannot be contractually excluded, including in connection with any paid subscription or service, nothing in this section shall be construed to limit or override those rights.
All purchases made on Silt, including but not limited to paid subscriptions, one-time transactions, and lifetime access plans, are final and non-refundable. By completing a purchase and accessing the service, you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the contract and acknowledge that you thereby waive your statutory right of withdrawal under applicable consumer protection laws, including but not limited to the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU. No refunds will be issued for account termination due to a breach of these Terms, voluntary cancellation, or dissatisfaction with the service. For the purposes of these Terms, "Lifetime" access refers to the lifespan of the Silt service as a publicly available platform. Silt makes no guarantees regarding the specific duration of this lifespan.
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
